Grand Wedding at the Grand Ballroom
Last April 22, 2017, a wedding was held at Big 8 Corporate Hotel in celebration of the 25th Wedding Anniversary of the hotel’s General Manager, Ms. Roxan M. Obregon and her husband Mr. Reggie Obregon with almost 300 families and friends.
Guests started coming in at around 2 in the afternoon in their elegant gowns and suits. They were welcomed by usherettes leading them to the Ballroom C, the venue of which where the observance was held. When they entered the venue, Ms. Alice Cadao welcomed them with her exemplary skills in hosting. Mr. Edu Encarnacion, one of the 25 treasures said he was amazed with how the ballroom C was designed like a garden.
The renewal of vows was also attended by few of the couple’s principal sponsors for 25 years namely Engineer and Mrs. Leandro A. Conti, Engineer and Mrs. Alexander S. Buyco and Ms. Mlidred R. Andolana. Mr. Billy M. Quibod, the president and owner of the hotel, together with his wife Mrs. Vilma A. Quibod were also principal sponsors. The ceremonial rites started at around 3:30 in the afternoon and was led by Pastor Roy Oliveros and it ran for almost 2 hours.
After the service, visitors were then led to the Ballroom A for the registration and the cocktails in preparation for reception. They were welcomed by the sweet sounds from a violinist accompanied by a keyboardist both from Tagum City. Numerous finger food was served for everyone to Feast on. They were also delighted as a photo booth from Minilite Digital Photo Studio was put up and their photos were directly printed then converted to refrigerator magnets that served as a giveaway for all the guest to remember the celebration by.
People were advised to enter the reception area at around 6:30 in the evening and they were astounded with how the venue was made classy by Jemaca Styles and coordination by Memento ByPjay. A video was presented and prepared by Prime Pixel Production and it showed how the couple still does not forget how to be quirky and also how they loved each other over the years.
A wine parade by the hotel’s most talented F&B staffs was done before the actual wine toasting. A lazy Susan was used for dinner for every guests’ convenience. Moreover, a fine dining menu and set up was also made possible. Guests were also charmed with a wide array of main course and desserts to choose from. And they were also serenaded by a band, Music Authority to give the dinner a very festive vibe.
To cap of the night, same band also played songs that will best fit the seasoned guests. Wines and beverages were also served during the party.
The couple indeed had their greatest time during the celebration of their Silver Wedding Anniversary and for sure it was a memory worth keeping.
